What Lecta Does

Lecta is a Slack integration that reads messages from channels you select and generates AI-powered daily summaries. It also provides a chat interface to ask questions about your channel history.

Data We Collect

  • Slack workspace data: workspace name, team ID, bot token, and the list of channels you choose to connect.
  • Channel messages: message content from connected channels, used solely for generating summaries and answering questions.
  • User profiles: display names and titles of channel members, included in summaries for context.
  • Email address: used for login via magic link. We do not send marketing emails.

How We Use Your Data

  • Generate daily channel summaries using AI (Anthropic Claude).
  • Answer questions about channel history through the chat feature.
  • Authenticate workspace administrators.

We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising. Your data is never used to train AI models.

Where Data Is Stored

Summaries are stored in a hosted database (Supabase). Message transcripts used for summarization are temporarily stored in AWS S3 and deleted after processing. All infrastructure runs on AWS in the US East (Virginia) region.

Third-Party Services

  • Anthropic (Claude API) — processes channel messages to generate summaries and answer questions.
  • Supabase — database hosting.
  • AWS — compute, storage, and email delivery.

Data Retention

Summaries are retained for as long as your workspace is connected. If you uninstall Lecta from Slack, we delete all associated data within 30 days.

Your Rights

You can request export or deletion of your data at any time by contacting us. Removing Lecta from your Slack workspace immediately revokes our access to your channels.
